in progress...an online cookbook
My name is Carole Harlam and I live in Manhattan where I am a wife to Dean, a mother to Anne and Claire, a mother-in-law to Jason and Jeff and a grandmother to Caroline, Charlie and Sybbie. And I've always been passionate about food!
My formal education was in Computer Science and I happily wrote code as a computer programmer for eleven years. I then decided it was time to devote the rest of my life to food. So I went to Peter Kump's Cooking School, now known as the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE). After culinary school, I did several internships and worked in a restaurant. Then I did recipe testing and development for cookbooks and magazines and spent several years at Chocolatier Magazine.
My children have always wanted me to write a home-published cookbook, featuring all the food they loved, both my creations and those of other people. But in this digital age, it made more sense to do an online collection of recipes in the format of a book. So that's how this project came to be.
